Hadith 31579
٣١٥٧٩ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا علي بن مسعدة عن عبد اللَّه الرومي قال: كنا عند أنس بن مالك فقال له رجل: يا أبا حمزة، إن إخوانك يحبون أن تدعو لهم، فقال: اللهم اغفر لنا وارحمنا وآتنا في الدنيا حسنة وفي الآخرة حسنة وقنا عذاب النار، قالوا: (زدنا) (١) يا أبا حمزة، فردها عليهم، قالوا: زدنا يا أبا حمزة، قال: حسبنا اللَّه، يا أبا فلان، إن أعطيناها فقد أعطينا خير الدنيا والآخرة (٢).
Hazrat Abdullah al-Rumi narrates that we were with Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him). Then a man said to him: O Abu Hamzah! Indeed, your brothers wish that you pray for them. So he supplicated as follows: O Allah! Forgive us, have mercy on us, grant us goodness in this world, grant us goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of Hell. The people said: O Abu Hamzah! Pray more for us. So he repeated the same supplication. The people said: O Abu Hamzah! Pray more for us. So he said: O so-and-so, Allah is sufficient for us. If we are granted all this, then we have been given the goodness of this world and the Hereafter.
