Hadith 31485
٣١٤٨٥ - (١) حدثنا وكيع بن الجراح عن كثير بن زيد عن المطلب بن عبد اللَّه أن أبا بكر كان يقول: اللهم اجعل (خير) (٢) عمري أخيره، وخير عملي خواتمه، وخير أيامي يوم ألقاك (٣).
Hazrat Mutalib bin Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Abu Bakr used to recite this supplication: O Allah! Make the last part of my life better. And make the end of my deeds better. And make the days when I meet You better than my previous days. Hazrat Mutalib bin Abdullah said: Hazrat Umar used to supplicate in this way: O Allah! Protect me through Your rope. And grant me sustenance from Your bounty. And make me such that I become one who safeguards Your command.
