Hadith 31332
٣١٣٣٢ - حدثنا وكيع حدثنا مالك بن مغول عن عبد اللَّه بن بريدة عن (أبيه) (١) أن النبي ﷺ سمع رجلًا يقول: اللهم إني أسألك بأنك أنت اللَّه الأحد الصمد الذي لم يلد ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفوا أحد، فقال: "لقد سأل اللَّه اسمه الأعظم الذي إذا دعي به أجاب وإذا سئل به أعطى" (٢).
Hazrat Buraidah narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man supplicating in this manner: O Allah! I ask You by means of Your own self, for You are Allah, the One, the Self-Sufficient, Who neither begets nor is begotten, and there is none comparable to Him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This person has asked Allah by means of His Greatest Name, by which, when supplication is made, He accepts, and when something is asked, He grants it.
