ما ذكر فيمن سأل النبي ﷺ أن يعلمه ما يدعو به فعلمهRegarding the Person Who Asked the Prophet (ﷺ) to Teach Him a Supplication and He Taught Him
Hadith 31327
٣١٣٢٧ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن الجريري (١) عن أبي الورد بن ثمامة عن اللجلاج عن معاذ قال: مر رسول اللَّه ﷺ على رجل وهو يقول: اللهم إني أسألك الصبر فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "سألت اللَّه البلاء (فاسأله) (٢) المعافاة"، ومر على رجل ⦗١٨٧⦘ وهو يقول: اللهم إني أسألك تمام النعمة، فقال: "يا ابن آدم وهل تدري ما تمام النعمة؟ " قال: يا رسول اللَّه دعوة دعوت بها رجاء الخير، قال: "فإن من تمام النعمة دخول الجنة، و (العوز) (٣) من النار"، ومر على رجل وهو يقول: يا ذا الجلال والإكرام، (فقال: (قد استجيب لك فاسأل) (٤) " (٥).
Hazrat Mu'adh narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a man who was making this supplication: "O Allah! I ask You for patience." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You have asked Allah for calamity, so ask Him for well-being and safety." And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by another man who was making this supplication: "O Allah! I ask You for complete blessing." So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "O son of Adam! Do you know what complete blessing is?" That person said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! With this supplication, I hoped for the intention of goodness." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, complete blessing is to enter Paradise and be saved from Hell." And he passed by another man who was making this supplication: "O Possessor of Majesty, Honor, and Generosity!" So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Your supplication will be accepted, so ask."
