Hadith 31269
٣١٢٦٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن ربعي عن حذيفة قال: كان النبي ﷺ إذا نام قال: "باسمك (أحيى) (١) وأموت"، وإذا استيقظ قال: "الحمد للَّه الذي أحيانا بعد ما أماتنا واليه النشور" (٢).
Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate at the time of sleeping: "With Your name I live and I die." And when he would wake up, he used to supplicate: "All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection."
