Hadith 31145
٣١١٤٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (قلد) (١) بن (الحباب) (٢) قال: حدثني عبد الجليل بن عطية قال: حدثني جعفر بن ميمون قال: (حدثني) (٣) عبد الرحمن ابن أبي بكرة قال: سمعت أبي يدعو بهذا الدعاء: اللهم عافني في بدني، اللهم عافني في سمعي، اللهم عافني في بصري، لا إله إلا أنت غدوة وعشية، [فقلت له: يا أبت سمعتك وأنت تدعو بهذا الدعاء غدوة وعشية] (٤)، قال: يا بني إني سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يدعو به، وأنا أحب أن أستن بسنته (٥).
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakrah narrates that I used to hear my father recite this supplication morning and evening: "O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity except You." So I said to my father: O dear father! I hear you recite this supplication morning and evening? He replied: O my beloved son! I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite this supplication, and I like to adhere to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
