Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Alatha Muhammad bin Abdullah Aqili narrates that a man accused another man falsely. So the accused was brought before Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz. The accuser claimed regarding the evidence that a person had informed him in Armenia, meaning that person was absent. Upon this, Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz said: The punishment cannot be postponed, but if you bring the evidence, I will accept their testimony.
