Hadith 30781
٣٠٧٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (هشيم) (١) عن مغيرة عن الشعبي أنه ⦗٨⦘ سئل عن (رجل) (٢) طلق امرأته ثلاثًا فجاءت (٣) بحمل فانتفى منه، قال: فقال: يلاعن، قال: فقال الحارث: يا أبا عمرو، إن اللَّه قال في كتابه: ﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ﴾ [النور: ٦]، أفتراها له زوجة؟ قال (٤): فقال الشعبي: إني لأستحي إذا رأيت الحق ألا (أرجع) (٥) إليه.
Hazrat Mughira narrates that Hazrat Shabi was asked about a man who had given his wife three divorces. Then she came while pregnant and denied the pregnancy. He replied: He will perform li'an (mutual cursing). The narrator says that Hazrat Harith said: O Abu Umar! Indeed, Allah, the Lord of Honor, has stated in His Book: Those who accuse their wives... Did he accuse his wife? Upon this, Hazrat Shabi said: Indeed, I feel shy that when I recognize the truth, I do not turn towards it.
