Hadith 30729
٣٠٧٢٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عفان بن مسلم قال: حدثنا أبان العطار قال: حدثني يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي قلابة عن أبي المهلب عن عمران بن حصين أن امرأة من جهينة أتت النبي ﷺ (١) فقالت: إني أصبت حدًا فأقمه علي، وهي حامل، فأمر بها أن يُحسن إليها حتى تضع، فلما (أن) (٢) وضعت جيء بها إلى رسول اللَّه ﷺ فأمر بها (فشكت) (٣) (عليها) (٤) ثيابها، ثم رجمها وصلى عليها فقال عمر: ⦗٥٠٦⦘ يا (نبي) (٥) اللَّه أتصلي عليها (وقد زنت؟) (٦) (فقال) (٧): "لقد تابت توبة لو قسمت بين سبعين من أهل المدينة لوسعتهم، وهل وجدت أفضلَ من أن جادت بنفسها" (٨).
Hazrat Imran bin Husain narrates that a woman from the tribe of Juhaina came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "Indeed, the prescribed punishment has become obligatory upon me, so please establish it upon me." She was pregnant at the time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that she be treated well until she gave birth. When she had given birth, she was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). By his command, clothes were put on her, then she was stoned, and her funeral prayer was offered. Hazrat Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will you offer her funeral prayer even though she committed adultery?" Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Indeed, she has repented with such a repentance that if her repentance were distributed among seventy people of Madinah, it would suffice them all. Do you find anyone superior to the one who has given her life (for Allah)?"
