٣٠١٤٦ - وعن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن عبد اللَّه بن سلمة أن عليًا أتي بسارق فقطع يده اليمنى، ثم أتي به فقطع رجله اليسرى، ثم أتي به الثالثة فقال: ⦗٣٧٤⦘ إني استحي أن أقطع يده يأكل بها ويستنجي بها، وفي حديث بعضهم ضربه وحبسه (١).
30146 - From Shu’bah, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Salamah, that ‘Ali was brought a thief and he cut off his right hand, then he was brought again and he cut off his left foot, then he was brought a third time and he said: ⦗374⦘ “I am ashamed to cut off the hand with which he eats and cleans himself.” And in the narration of some of them, he beat him and imprisoned him (1).
