Hadith 30138
٣٠١٣٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد بن جابر عن مكحول أن عمر قال: إذا سرق فاقطعوا يده، ثم إن عاد فاقطعوا رجله، ولا تقطعوا يده الأخرى وذروه يأكل بها الطعام ويستنجي بها من الغائط، ولكن احبسوه عن المسلمين (١).
Hazrat Mak'hool narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab said: When a thief commits theft, cut off one of his hands. Then if he steals again, cut off one of his legs. But do not cut off his other hand; leave it so that he may eat with it and clean himself after relieving himself. However, imprison him among the Muslims.
