٢٩٩٨٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن بكر عن ابن جريج قال: قلت لعطاء: (يؤخذ) (١) السارق قد أخذ المتاع وقد جمعه في البيت؟ قال: لا قطع عليه حتى يخرج به، زعموا.
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Hazrat Ata: What is the ruling if a thief is caught gathering goods inside the house? He replied: His hand will not be cut until he takes the goods out. The Companions have said this, and Hazrat Amr bin Dinar said: I do not hold the opinion that his hand should be cut.
