Hadith 29974
٢٩٩٧٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا الثقفي عن المثنى عن عمرو بن شعيب قال: دخلت على سعيد بن المسيب فقلت له: أن أصحابك عروة بن الزبير ومحمد بن مسلم الزهري وابن يسار يقولون: ثمن المجن خمسة (دراهم) (١) فقال: أما هذا فقد مضت فيه سنة رسول اللَّه ﷺ: عشرة (دراهم) (٢) (٣).
Hazrat Amr bin Shuaib says that I went to Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib and said to him: Surely your companions Urwah bin Zubair, Muhammad bin Muslim Zuhri, and Ibn Yasar all say: The price of a shield is five dirhams. Upon this, he said: In any case, the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has passed regarding this; it is ten dirhams.
