Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Hakam states that Ibrahim spoke about the person from whom retribution (qisas) was being taken, and then his death occurred. He said: The one who was taking retribution from him, the amount of blood money (diyat) should be reduced from him according to the extent of his wound, and the blood money for that person will be obligatory upon him and his family members.
