Hadith 29687
٢٩٦٨٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن علية عن هشام الدستوائي عن يحيى بن أبي كثير [عن عكرمة عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "يؤدى المكاتب بقدر ما عتق منه دية الحر، وبقدر ما (رق) (١) منه دية العبد" (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The compensation for a mukatab will be paid in proportion to his freedom—the part that is free will receive the compensation of a free person, and the part that is a slave will receive the compensation of a slave.
