Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Wahb bin Uqbah and Hazrat Muslim bin Yazid bin Madhkur state that they heard Hazrat Yazid bin Madhkur saying that on Friday, there was a crowd of people in the central mosque of Kufa. When the crowd dispersed, a man was found lying there, killed. Then Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), son of Abu Talib, paid his blood money from the public treasury (Bayt al-Mal).
