Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Simak narrates that Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Qaqa’ said: I invited a few people to my house; these people ate food and drank wine, becoming intoxicated, and then picked up the house knives and blades. Then, by causing a commotion with them, some of them wounded others among themselves. There were a total of four people; thus, two died and two survived. So Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) made blood money obligatory upon all four of them, and reduced it for the wounded ones in proportion to the injuries they had sustained.
