٢٩٤٤٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا هشيم عن إسماعيل بن سالم عن الشعبي أنه سئل عن سفينتين اصطدمتا، فغرقت إحداهما فقال: ليس على (الآخرين) (١) ضمان، ولكن أيما رجل أوثق سفينة على طريق المسلمين فأصابت فهو ضامن.
Hazrat Ismail bin Salim narrates that Imam Sha’bi was asked about two boats that collided with each other, and one of them sank. He replied: There is no liability on the people of the other boat, but any person who built a strong boat according to the way of Muslims, yet it still sank, then that person will be liable.
