Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Amir Sha'bi said: When a man strangled another man and did not let go until he killed him, then in this case qisas (retaliation) will be enforced. If he let him go and after that he died, then heavy blood money (diyat-e-mughallazah) is due upon him.
