Hadith 29410
٢٩٤١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن بشر قال: حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة أن عروة بن مسعود الثقفي دعا قومه إلى اللَّه و (١) رسوله فرماه رجل منهم بسهم، فمات فعفا (٢)، فرفع ذلك إلى النبي ﷺ فأجاز عفوه، وقال: "هو كصاحب ياسين" (٣).
Hazrat Qatadah narrates that Hazrat Urwah bin Mas'ud Thaqafi invited his people towards Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him), so one of them shot an arrow at him, which caused his death. He had forgiven that person. Then this matter was presented before the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him), so he (peace be upon him) enforced his forgiveness and said: He is like the person mentioned in Surah Yaseen.
