Hadith 28909
٢٨٩٠٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم عن داود عن سعيد ابن المسيب قال: في البيضة اليسرى ثلثا الدية، وفي اليمنى الثلث، قلت: (لم؟) (١) قال: لأن اليسرى إذا ذهبت لم يولد له، وإذا ذهبت اليمنى ولد له.
Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib said that for the left testicle, two-thirds of the blood money (diyah) is due, and for the right, one-third of the blood money is due. Dawood says that I asked why this is so? He replied that this is because when the left testicle is lost, offspring cannot be produced, and if the right is lost, offspring can still be produced.
