Hadith 28597
٢٨٥٩٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا المنهال (بن) (١) خليفة ⦗٤٠⦘ العجلي عن سلمة بن تمام (الشقري) (٢) قال: مر رجل (بقدر) (٣) فوقعت على رأس رجل (فأحرقت) (٤) شعره، فرفع (إلى) (٥) علي فأجله سنة، فلم ينبت فقضى فيه عليٌّ بالدية (٦).
Hazrat Salamah bin Tamam Shaqri said that a man passed by a cooking pot and it fell on his head, burning his hair. When the matter reached Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he gave him a year's respite, but when the hair did not grow back, he decided on blood money (compensation) for it.
