Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sha'bi, Hakam, and Hammad said that if a person is harmed with a stone, whip, or stick and then dies, this is considered quasi-intentional murder (shibh-i-amd), and in this case, the aggravated blood money (diyat mughallazah) is due.
