٢٨٤٣٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع (قال: حدثنا) (١) ابن أبي ليلى عن الشعبي عن عبيدة السلماني قال: وضع عمر الديات، فوضع على أهل الذهب ألف دينار، وعلى أهل الورق عشرة (آلاف) (٢)، وعلى أهل الإبل مائة من الإبل، وعلى أهل البقر مائتي بقرة مسنة، وعلى أهل الشاء ألفي شاة، وعلى أهل الحلل مائتي حلة (٣).
Hazrat Ubaidah al-Salmani said that Umar fixed the amounts for blood money: for those dealing in gold, one thousand "1000" dinars; for those dealing in silver, ten thousand "10000"; for those dealing in camels, one hundred camels; for those dealing in cows, two hundred mature cows; for those dealing in goats, two thousand goats; and for those dealing in cloth, two hundred pairs were fixed.
