Hadith 28319
٢٨٣١٩ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن أبيه أن سعد بن عبادة كان يدعو: اللهم هب لي حمدًا وهب لي مجدًا لا مجد إلا بفعال، ولا فعال إلا بمال، اللهم لا يصلحني القليل ولا أصلح عليه (١).
Hazrat Urwah narrates that Hazrat Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah used to supplicate: Translation: O Allah! Grant me the ability to be grateful and bestow honor and greatness upon me, and honor and greatness are not attained except through some achievement, and there is no achievement except through wealth. O Allah! A small amount of wealth cannot benefit me, nor am I content with it.
