(ما يقول الرجل إذا نام وإذا استيقظ)Supplication When Sleeping and Upon Waking
Hadith 28231
٢٨٢٣١ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن أبي إسحاق عن البراء قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ لرجل: "يا فلان إذا أويت إلى فراشك فقل: اللهم أسلمت نفسي إليك، ووجهت وجهي إليك، ووليت ظهري إليك، لا ملجأ ولا (منجى) (١) منك إلا إليك، آمنت بكتابك الذي أنزلت، و (نبيك) (٢) الذي أرسلت، (فإن) (٣) مت من ليلتك مت على الفطرة، وإن أصبحت (أصبت) (٤) خيرًا" (٥) (٦).
Hazrat Bara bin Azib narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to a companion: O so-and-so! When you lie down on your bed, recite this supplication: O Allah! I have surrendered my soul to You, and I have turned my face towards You, and I have entrusted my affairs to You. There is no refuge and no place of safety from Your punishment except with Your mercy. I have believed in the Book which You have revealed and in the Prophet whom You have sent. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If you die that night, you will die upon the natural faith of Islam, and if you reach the morning, you will attain goodness.
