(ما يقول الرجل إذا نام وإذا استيقظ)Supplication When Sleeping and Upon Waking
Hadith 28225
٢٨٢٢٥ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن سعد بن عبيدة عن البراء ابن عازب عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال لرجل: "إذا أخذت مضجعك فقل: اللهم أسلمت نفسي إليك، ووجهت وجهي إليك، وفوضت أمري اليك، وألجأت ظهري اليك، رغبة ورهبة إليك، لا (منجا) (١) ولا ملجأ منك إلا إليك، آمنت بكتابك الذي أنزلت، ونبيك الذي أرسلت، فإن (مت مت) (٢) على الفطرة" (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Bara bin Azib narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a companion: When you lie down on your bed, recite this supplication: O Allah! I have entrusted my soul to You, and I have turned my face towards You, and I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have taken You as my protector, desiring Your mercy and fearing Your punishment. There is no refuge and no place of safety from Your grasp except with You. I believe in the Book which You have revealed and in the Prophet whom You have sent. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you die that night, you will die upon the natural faith of Islam.
