Hadith 28222
٢٨٢٢٢ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن يعلى بن عطاء قال: سمعت عمرو بن عاصم يحدث أنه سمع أبا هريرة أن أبا بكر قال للنبي ﷺ: أخبرني بشيء أقوله إذا أمسيت وإذا أصبحت، قال: "قل اللهم عالم الغيب والشهادة، فاطر السماوات والأرض، رب كل شيء ومليكه، أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت، أعوذ بك من شر نفسي و (١) الشيطان وشركه، قله (إذا أصبحت) (٢) وإذا ⦗٤٨٠⦘ أمسيت وإذا أخذت مضجعك" (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that Hazrat Abu Bakr submitted to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, please teach me a supplication which I may recite in the morning and evening." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite this supplication: "O Allah! Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of everything. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own self, from Satan and his associates." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite these words when you enter the morning, when you enter the evening, and when you lie down on your bed.
