(ما يقول الرجل إذا نام وإذا استيقظ)Supplication When Sleeping and Upon Waking
Hadith 28219
٢٨٢١٩ - حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن أبي إسحاق عن البراء قال: كان النبي ﷺ إذا أخذ مضجعه قال: "اللهم (إليك) (١) أسلمت نفسي، وإليك وجهت وجهي، وإليك فوضت أمري، وإليك ألجأت ظهري رغبة ورهبة إليك، لا ملجأ ولا (منجا) (٢) منك إلا إليك، آمنت بكتابك الذي أنزلت، (وبنبيك) (٣) (الذي أرسلت) (٤) (أو رسولك) (٥) (الذي أرسلت) " (٦) (٧).
Hazrat Bara narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would lie down in his sleeping place, he would recite this supplication: Translation: O Allah! I have entrusted my soul to You, and I have turned my face towards You, and I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have taken You as my protector, desiring Your mercy and fearing Your punishment, and there is no refuge and no place of safety from You except with You. I have believed in the Book which You have revealed, and I have believed in the Prophet or Messenger whom You have sent.
