Hadith 28212
٢٨٢١٢ - حدثنا جعفر بن عون قال: أخبرنا أبو العميس عن أبي طلحة قال: قدم أنس بن مالك الكوفة فاجتمعنا عليه، قال: فقلنا: حدثنا ما سمعت من رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: وهو يقول: أيها الناس انصرفوا عني، حتى ألجاناه إلى حائط القصر، فقال: لو تعلمون ما أعلم لبكيتم كثيرًا ولضحكتم قليلًا، أيها الناس انصرفوا عني فانصرفنا عنه (١).
Hazrat Abu Talha narrates that when Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Kufa, we gathered around him. We requested him to narrate to us any hadith he had heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: O people! Go away from me, until we would compel him greatly, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: If you knew what I know, you would weep more and laugh less. O people! Go away from me, so we returned from his presence.
