Hadith 28209
٢٨٢٠٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا معاذ عن حميد عن أنس قال: قالت المهاجرون: يا رسول اللَّه! ما رأينا مثل قوم قدمنا عليهم أحسن بذلًا من كثير، ولا أحسن مواساة في قليل، كفونا المؤنة، وأشركونا في المهنأ، قد (خشينا) (١) أن يذهبوا بالأجر كله، فقال: "لا، ما أثنيثم عليهم ودعوتم اللَّه لهم" (٢).
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Muhajireen said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The people to whom we have come, we have not seen anyone more generous in spending, nor anyone better in sharing whatever little they have, than them. They have borne our expenses and included us in their joys. We fear that they will take all the reward. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! It is not so. In any case, do not praise them excessively, and pray to Allah for them.
