Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Hazrat Ata, "Should a woman sit on her left side during Tashahhud?" He replied, "Yes." I asked, "In your opinion, is sitting on the left side better than sitting on the right?" He said, "Yes, and a woman should gather her body as much as possible while praying." I said, "If a woman sits like a man during Tashahhud, or sits by taking her left foot out from under her hips, what is the ruling?" He said, "When she has gathered her body, then she may sit however she wishes; there is nothing wrong with it."
