Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Khalid bin Lajlaj narrates that women were instructed to sit in prayer in such a way that they would extend their right or left foot out from between the shin and the thigh. They should not sit on their hips like men. There is a risk of harm to women if they sit in that manner.
