Hadith 27910
٢٧٩١٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا شبابة قال: حدثنا شعبة قال: حدثنا توبة (١) العنبري قال: قال لي الشعبي: (أرأيت) (٢) الحسن حين يقول: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: لقد جلست إلى ابن عمر فما سمعته يحدث عن النبي ﷺ إلا حديثا أن النبي ﷺ أتي بضب فقال (النبي ﷺ) (٣): "إنه ليس من طعامي، وأما أنتم فكلوه" (٤).
Hazrat Tawbah Anbari narrates that Imam Shabi said to me, "What is your opinion about Hasan Basri when he says, 'The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said!' whereas I sit in the gathering of Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and I have never heard him narrate any hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), except for one hadith which he narrated: A monitor lizard was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'Indeed, this is not my food; as for you, you may eat it.'"
