Hadith 27905
٢٧٩٠٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا معاذ بن معاذ عن ابن عون قال: حدثني مسلم البطين عن إبراهيم التيمي (عن أبيه) (١) عن عمرو بن ميمون قال: ما أخطأني ابن مسعود (خميسًا) (٢) إلا أتيته (٣)، قال: فما سمعته يقول لشيء قط (٤) قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ، فلما كان ذات عشية، قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ، قال: فنكس، قال: فنظرت إليه وهو قائم (منحلة) (٥) أزرار قميصه قد اغرورقت عيناه وانتفخت ⦗٣٩١⦘ أوداجه، قال: أو دون ذلك أو فوق ذلك أو قريبًا من ذلك أو شبيهًا بذلك (٦).
Hazrat Amr bin Maymoon narrates that I used to visit Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) every Thursday. I never heard him say in any matter, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:" Then one evening he said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has said." At this, his condition changed; I saw that he stood up with the buttons of his shirt open, and his eyes filled with tears, and his veins swelled. He said: "Either he said less than this, or more than this, or something close to this, or something like this."
