Hadith 27399
٢٧٣٩٩ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عوف عن زرارة بن (١) أوفى قال: حدثني عبد اللَّه ابن سلام قال: لما قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ (إلى) (٢) المدينة انجفل الناس قبله، وقيل: قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ (٣) فجئت في الناس لأنظر، فلما (تبينت) (٤) وجهه عرفت أن وجهه ليس بوجه كذاب، فكان أول شيء سمعته يتكلم به أن ⦗٢٥٢⦘ قال: "يا أيها الناس أفشوا السلام" (٥).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, people hurriedly came to his service and it was being said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has arrived. He says that I also came along with the people so that I could see the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When I saw the radiant face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I recognized that surely this face is not the face of a liar, and the very first thing I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say was: "O people! Spread peace (salaam)."
