Hadith 27030
٢٧٠٣٠ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عوف عن زرارة بن أوفى عن عبد اللَّه بن سلام قال: لما قدم رسول اللَّه ﷺ المدينة انجفل الناس نحوه فأتيته، فلما نظرت إليه عرفت أن وجهه ليس (بوجه) (١) كذاب، فكان أول شيء سمعته يقول: "يا أيها الناس أفشوا السلام وصلوا الأرحام وأطعموا الطعام وصلوا بالليل والناس نيام" (٢).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, people hurried to meet him. He says that I also came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When I looked at him, I recognized that indeed his face was not the face of a liar. And the very first thing I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say was this: He said, "O people! Spread peace, and maintain ties of kinship, and feed others, and pray at night while people are sleeping."
