Hadith 26699
٢٦٦٩٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا ابن إدريس عن يحيى بن عبد اللَّه بن أبي قتادة قال: مازح النبي ﷺ أبا قتادة قال: " (لأجزنّ) (١) جمتك"، (قال) (٢): لك مكانها استر فقال له بعد ذلك: "أكرمها"، فكان يتخذ لها بعد ذلك (السك) (٣) (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Yahya bin Abdullah. He says that the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) joked with Hazrat Qatadah. He said: "I will surely cut your locks." Hazrat Abu Qatadah replied: "For you, there is a captive in their place." Then after that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Take care of them." Thus, after that, Hazrat Qatadah used to prepare special fragrance for his locks.
