Hadith 25656
٢٥٦٥٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن أبي (حيان) (١) قال: أخبرني أبو الفرات عن أبي داود قال: كنت عند منبر حذيفة (وهو) (٢) بالمدائن، فحمد اللَّه وأثنى عليه ثم قال: أما بعد، فإن بائع الخمر وشاربها (٣) سواء (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dawood, who says that I was present near the pulpit with Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was in the place of Mada'in. Then he praised and glorified Allah Almighty and then said: "Amma ba'd: Indeed, the one who sells alcohol and the one who drinks alcohol are equal in sin."
