Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Majliz, he says that Hazrat Qais bin Abad prepared food for some reciters (Qurra), then he served them Nabidh (a type of drink). Then he asked, "Do you know which Nabidh I have served you?" The reciters said, "Yes, you have served us Nabidh." He said, "No, rather this was Nabidh from a pitcher." Then this person went to Hazrat Ma'qil bin Yasar. The narrator says, and he asked him, "In which vessel is Nabidh prepared for you?" So he called a slave girl, and she brought a green-colored pitcher. Hazrat Ma'qil said, "Nabidh is prepared for me in this."
