Hadith 25439
٢٥٤٣٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن سعيد بن المسيب أن قوما من ثقيف لقوا عمر بن الخطاب وهو قريب من مكة، فدعاهم بأنبذتهم، فأتوه بقدح من نبيذ فقربه من فيه، ثم دعا بماء فصبه عليه مرتين أو ثلاثًا فقال: اكسروه بالماء (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib that some people from the tribe of Thaqif met Hazrat Umar bin Khattab when he was near Makkah. So Hazrat Umar invited them along with their nabidh. Thus, they came to Hazrat Umar and brought a bowl of nabidh with them. Hazrat Umar brought it close to his mouth, then he asked for water and mixed water into it two or three times. Then he said: Break it with water.
