Hadith 25425
٢٥٤٢٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن جابر قال: كنا مع النبي ﷺ فاستسقى فقال رجل: ألا نسقيك نبيذا؟ قال: "بلى"، فخرج الرجل يشتد، فجاء بقدح فيه نبيذ، فقال: رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ألا خمرته، ولو أن تعرض عليه عودًا" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir. He says that we were with the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when during that time he, peace and blessings be upon him, asked for water. So a man said, "Shall we not give you nabidh to drink?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Why not?" The narrator says, so that man ran off and then returned with a bowl in which there was nabidh. Then the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Why did you not cover it, even if you had placed a stick across it?"
