Hadith 25349
٢٥٣٤٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا يونس بن محمد قال: حدثنا عبد الواحد بن زياد عن عاصم الأحول عن فضيل بن زيد قال: كنا عند عبد اللَّه بن (مغفل) (١) فتذاكرنا الشراب فقال: الخمر حرام، فقلت: الخمر حرام في كتاب اللَّه، قال: فأي شيء تريد؟ (تريد ما) (٢) (سمعته) (٣) (من) (٤) رسول اللَّه ﷺ؟ سمعت رسول اللَّه ⦗٢٤١⦘ ﷺ ينهى عن الدُّباء والحنتم والمزفت (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Fudail bin Iyad, he says: We were with Abdullah bin Mughaffal when we mentioned wine to each other. Upon this, Hazrat Abdullah said: Wine is forbidden. I asked: Is the prohibition of wine in the Book of Allah? So Hazrat Abdullah said: What do you want? Do you want what I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? (So) I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prohibit (the use of) dubba’, hantam, and muzaffat.
