Hadith 25325
٢٥٣٢٥ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا (عبيد اللَّه) (١) (عن) (٢) إسرائيل عن أبي إسحاق عن (عمرو) (٣) بن شرحبيل عن (عمر) (٤) قال: كان منادي رسول اللَّه ﷺ إذا قام إلى الصلاة نادى: ﴿لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ سُكَارَى﴾ [النساء: ٤٣] (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Umar, he says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for prayer, the caller of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would announce: "When you are in a state of drunkenness, do not approach the prayer at that time."
