Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Shu’bah narrates about Ash’ath bin Abi Al-Sha’sha’, he says: I asked him, “Did your father use to drink nabidh?” Ash’ath said, “Yes, he used to drink it until he met Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and he forbade my father from drinking nabidh.”
