Hadith 25232
٢٥٢٣٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أبو (نعيم) (١) عن زهير عن عبد الملك بن (عمير) (٢) قال: حدثني حصين (بن) (٣) أبي الحر عن سمرة بن جندب قال: كنت عند رسول اللَّه ﷺ فدعا حجامًا (فأمره أن يحجمه) (٤)، فأخرج (محاجم) (٥) من قرون، (فألزمها) (٦) إياه وشرطه بطرف (شفرة) (٧)، فصب الدم وأنا عنده، فدخل عليه رجل من بني فزارة فقال: ما هذا يا رسول اللَّه؟ علام تمكن هذا من جلدك يقطعه؟ (قال) (٨): فسمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "هذا الحجم"، (قال) (٩): وما ⦗٢٠١⦘ الحجم؟ قال: "خير ما (تداوى) (١٠) به الناس" (١١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub, he says: I was present in the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a barber and ordered him to perform cupping on him. So he took out the cupping horns and applied them to him (peace and blessings be upon him). And he began to make incisions with the edge of a blade, and the blood of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) started to flow, and I was with him (peace and blessings be upon him). During this, a man from Banu Fazarah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What is this? For what reason have you given this man authority over your skin that he is cutting it?" Hazrat Samurah says: Then I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "This is cupping." That man asked, "What is cupping?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Of the things by which people seek treatment, this is among the best of them."
