Hadith 25221
٢٥٢٢١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا همام عن أبي (جمرة) (١) قال: كنت أدفع الناس عن ابن عباس، (فاحتبست) (٢) أيامًا، فقال: ما حبسك؟ قلت: الحمى، قال: إن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قال: "إن الحمى من فيح جهنم فأبردوها بماء زمزم" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Jamrah, who says: I used to visit Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) the most. For a few days I was detained, so he asked, "What kept you away?" I replied, "Fever did." He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Surely fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with the water of Zamzam."
