Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Rafi that he said: Hazrat Umar saw a bandage tied on my hand or my foot, so he took me to a physician and said, "Cut (the boil), because when pus is left between the bone and the flesh, it eats it away." The narrator says that Hasan disliked making an incision in a boil.
