Hadith 25006
٢٥٠٠٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن يزيد قال: أخبرني زيد ابن وهب قال: انطلق حذيفة إلى رجل من النخع يعوده، فانطلق وانطلقت معه، فدخل عليه ودخلت معه، فلمس عضده فرأى فيه خيطا فأخذه فقطعه، ثم قال: لو مت وهذا في عضدك ما صليت عليك (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid who says: Zaid bin Wahb told me that Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) went to visit a man who was suffering from phlegm. When he went, I also set out with him. So when he reached him, I also reached him. Then Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) touched his wrist and saw a thread on it. He took hold of that thread and broke it. Then he said: If you had died in this state while this thread was on your wrist, I would not have performed your funeral prayer.
