Hadith 24937
٢٤٩٣٧ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا أزهر السمان عن ابن عون قال: بلغ محمد ابن سيرين أن عمر بن عبد العزيز أقرع فقال: (ما أرى) (١) هذا (إلا من) (٢) (الإستسقام) (٣) بالأزلام.
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Sirin that Umar bin Abdul Aziz cast lots and then said: In my view, this is nothing but seeking decision by arrows. (This is a reference to the practice in the age of ignorance where lots were drawn using arrows.)
